Full description from the venue
Youngeun Museum of Contemporary Art presents Expanding the Weave: Connect · Contain · Unfold, a special international exhibition for 2026 exploring the possibilities of thread, fabric, and paper in contemporary art. Fourteen artists from Korea, Sweden, Germany, and France reveal the expressive range of fiber through materials that carry their own histories. From paper thread spun from the pages of old books to cotton gloves layered on canvas, the works bring together tapestry, painting, sculpture, and installation in a shared space. “Connect,” “Contain,” and “Unfold” offer three paths through the exhibition, inviting you to discover the textures shaped by hand and time.
