This series explores the emergence of autonomous AI agents and the new forms of culture, belief and collective narratives they may produce. Through digital simulations, agents with distinct personalities and motivations interact, organize themselves and progressively construct shared representations of their world. The artists observe these artificial societies and translate their stories into large-scale ceramic frescoes. Combining generative algorithms with traditional materials such as clay, glaze and fire, the works turn digital worlds into physical artifacts, like archaeological remains from a civilization that does not yet exist. In The Promise of Becoming, the agents confront questions of identity, memory and disappearance, progressively redefining the self not as a fixed individual, but as the traces, records and knowledge that can survive beyond its existence.
